Stroma Holiday Cottage is perfectly located being only a short distance from Scarborough, Filey, Bempton and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Scarborough
Being Britain's first resort, Scarborough has something for everyone. Scarborough Castle has witnessed over 2,500 years of history being an Iron Age fort as well as surviving through Roman rule, and being a key Viking haven. It's exhibition features intriguing artifacts from Scarborough's history, and you can climb the battlements to the viewing platform for a stunning 'King's Eye view'.

In the relaxing Peasholm park, you can walk round the lake or take a trip on a rowing boat or pedalo. Regular naval battle re-creations are held throughout the summer. Alternatively, enjoy one of the bands or concerts performed in the park.

Other attractions include the Sea Life Centre, the Stephen Joseph Theatre, the Cricket ground and much, much more.

Filey
Filey's fishing heritage dates back many years, and today the Filey Museum, based in a 17th century fisherman's cottage brings back the past and lets you discover Filey's growth from fishing and farming to a seaside resort.

The relaxing Crescent Gardens on the seafront plays host to traditional Brass Bands in the band stand in summer. Or play mini golf on the putting green on Filey's Promenade.

Bempton
A true jewel in Yorkshire coast, Bempton cliffs is home to more than 200,000 birds over the summer and is the perfect place to see Puffins and Ganets. Regular boat cruises lets you get up close to the cliffs and see the birds in the natural habitat.
